Hi guys,
I need a little help upgrading my computer. I'm looking for a board that will have 3 sdram, 4-5 pci, 1-2 isa, 2-4x agp and a solid chipset and support a P3 (600 - 1gig). Any suggestions? I can't really spend more than $130 (american).
Any help here would be appreciated !!!!:)

well a board that rocks, and meets all your quota except the ISA slots, is the TUSL2 or CUSL2 from Asus

only difference is, the TUSL2 supports TUALITIN CPU's AND Coppermines, and the CUSL2 only supports upto Coppermine, same board otherwise.

I don't honestly know any boards that are being produced by any of the big makers that still have ISA slots. i know brands like QDI have an ISA slot on their Intel and AMD boards, but only 1, and they are the only company that I know of that has them.. if you NEED ISA, QDI boards are pretty good overall, they're inexpensive, and pretty reliable, the Advance10 I believe is what it's called is a good S370 board from them for your PIII. other than the ISA issues, I believe the TUSL2-C is one of the best PIII boards you can get.

Yes, and the CUSL-C if you don't need Tulatin support -- CUSL (w/video) and CUSL-C can sometimes be found in Forsale for $75-90 shipped, or get the TUSL-C from newegg.com (sometimes) for $109.

At total risk of being flamed here.... I have had an IWill board for 18 months using a P3 733Mhz. I had only one problem with this board and that is that is wasn't APCI compliant with Win2K. Other than that I found it to be a very solid board. I had 896Meg SD133 Ram in there too using Win98SE for 10 months and I still never had any problems. Just an idea...

Ahhh... crap, I forgot to tell you what kind of IWll board it is... It is a VD133 5 PCI slots and 1 ISA slot. It is a slot 1 board though... which was a bit of a pain in the butt... but nothing you can't get around.

If you can forego the ISA cards, I agree with the other ASUS supporters - the CUSL-2 or TUSL-2 are excellent choices and I believe right around $100. I've got a PIII 933 on the MSI 815 Pro but wouldn't recommend it.

Yep, nothing wrong with the P3V4X. I still have three of em running strong. They are slot 1, however.
