Keeping in mind that we are looking for base level performance here so low price and stabilty is important while performance and over clocking is not as important (will be using integrated video only).

I personally have an ECS K7VMA (KM133) and I love it. I've had no issues what so ever, the only one (which is probably error on my part) is that the hd isn't running at ATA/100 but no big deal, ATA/33 works fine. I highly recommend it personally, but ECS K7SEM is a great board (SiS 730S) both are as stable as a rock, and can be had for $70!

Not a great idea to use integrated video with a duron, being that the only option is using the savage chipset. Which if you read reviews has poor performance and poor stability due to drivers. As said before the ECS K7VMA is a good entry level board, its stable, and had built in sound. Just add a cheap TNT 2 card to it.

Go with ECS 735 board! There is some decent on board graphics and there is more than savage intergrated video. sis 630! tridnt also. Though a cheap agp video card would be better. Go with Radeon LE 71$.

Not true, SiS 730S has on-board video and audio. You are right though, KM133 isn't the best integrated chipset mainley because of the very poor 2D performance of ProSavage video, so you're better off going with K7SEM, but if u are going to go TNT2 route, then I agree just get a K7S5A you won't be sorry, even if u use SDRAm.

I second the ECS K7SEM, we got them at work and their a sweet cheap board..(We use them in our "utility" computers)
