What's a good MB w/ 845 chipset??

I'm building a new system w/ P4 and Intel's 845/845Echipset.
Anyone know any particular board or brand I should get??? I'm looking for something that's not too cheap but won't kill my budget. I'm not an expert of this topic so have no idea which manufacturer is good....how would you rate Abit, Asus, Aopen, Gigabyte, and ECS?? These are the ones I've heard.
Also, is there any minimum requirement for the power supply?? i.e. do I need at least 350 or 400 Watt??
Any suggestion is highly appreciated!

My vote is Asus. Others vote for Abit and Epox. As far as Asus boards, the P4B533 and P4B533-V. For raid the P4B533-E. Read some of the threads here and in the CPU/Overclocking forum to see what people are doing with them. Power supply depends on how much stuff you have plugged into it and whether or not you're overclocking. Normally, I would say a good 350w would be good.

HTH 🙂

So far the Gigabyte 8IEXP has been good for me. Really haven't used it much at all yet, I'm sort of still building/experimenting with the BIOS, but it's a nice board with a lot of features and it gets a good wrap in the forums.

Apparently the Abit ones are quite good too, and people are starting to get nice results with the Epox 4G4A+.

What are your overclocking plans (if any?)
What kind of memory do/will you have and what DDR speeds do you want to run?

First of all, thank you for those who replied.

I'm building the system for my sister and won't overclock it 'cause if anything goes south she prolly won't know what to do.
I want to get some PC2100 DDR RAM since they're supposed to be cost effective. If I remember correctly, pc1600 runs at 200Mhz and pc2100 runs at 266 Mhz?? On PriceWatch I saw a bunch of others llike PC2400,2700,3000, and 3200 what's the difference among these kinds of DDRs and what speed do they run??

Ok, that helps. More questions:

What CPU will you be using?
Integrated Video ok or are you getting a video card?
same question with audio

Pentium4, possibly 1.6Ghz
I don't like integrated video so will prolly get an AGP video card. Sound on the other hand, is not important to me.

Edit: forgot to ask, there seems to be more than one type of P4 chip. What's the difference between 423 and 478 P4?
