what's a good job for someone who's good at everything?

I'm so modest. :D

Ok seriously, I am an engineering major so I can work on math, science and technical problems.

But also I believe I have good communications and social skills as well. I work well in a team setting, I have good writing and composition ability, and I have no problems delivering speeches or presentations.

So, what's a career path that allows me to fully leverage all of my abilities?

Anybody whose good at everything will be able to figure this out better than me.

Seriously; certainly someone so omniscient could figure this out? :)

I'm sure any recruiter would ask you, what can you actually do? Great, you're good at math, science, and "technical problems", but what can you actually do?

Be certain to lose the intellectual hubris; no one likes that.

Good luck :)

Since you are good at the technical stuff, maybe you should start there and then work up? My grampa started as a business and "plant" manager and became a university VP.

The chancellor of UCLA started out as a nuclear physicist, then got involved in politics and eventually education.

You could go far as an engineer if you can function well as an engineer and also have the capability to interact with clients, give presentations, and all-in-all make your company look good to others.

Are you good at everything or have you just gone to college? My guess you have no applicable experience and therefore aren't good at anything actually valuable in the real world.... Aptitude helps, but it is hard work and experience that results in success.

Enjoy your wake up call....

I work with engineers daily. Most of them are book smart. They are all not as smart as they think. None of them can think out of the box.

That's a tad patronizing.

I have a Special Engineering Program degree from Brunel University, UK.

I'm good at everything too...

You could try Technical Sales..

or Mechanical Design Engineer (like I have just become)

or Engineering or Management Consultant (don't consider this if staying away from home Mon-to-Fri doesn't appeal. It sure don't appeal to me!).

or IT Consultant..

You could also become an Actuary or a Patent Attorney....

Get a good degree, keep a positive attitude and the world is your oyster...

actually, i agree with Bollocks. No one wants to touch a head strong person with no experience. Who the hell wants to be consulted by someone like that??

Come guard my car when I leave it parked away from home. Damn rice haters are becoming more abundant and apparent.

DISCLAIMER: I still don't think my car is rice.

if you're so good at everything why don't you use those skills to figure out what you want to do?

How would you know if it is a generalization? I was speaking about the people I work with and you know none of them.
Oh, I forgot to add, most engineers are pompous a$$e$, too.
