Lime green with blue dots.

j/k

Break off the white with some other color, a light light shade of yellow for example.

The best way to choose a colour for a room is to take it from a piece of furniture or art or whatever that you really like in the room. Then go from there! I have a different colour in every room of my house but they all flow together.

White walls=institution:p

If you paint the walls a certain color, you'll have to decorate the rooms accordingly. If you take the time and do it right, you can end up with a stunning looking interior. If you're lazy like my parents, you'll end up with a house that has grey carpets and white walls. ;)

depends on what kind of mood you are going for.
if you choose warm colors like yellows, creams, mauves(soft red), you are going to create a warmer, inviting atmosphere. If you go with blues, greens, and violets, chances are, the space will become calming and tranquil. paint color really does make a huge difference on a person when they walk into the room. My advise is go to a home store and just look at all the colors available and choose ones you like. Bring the color cards home(take a good handful of each color) and tape them to a wall, then go from there
