What's a good gift for the Groomsmen?

This is my first wedding as the groom coming up next month, so I'm trying to figure out some good loot to hook up the brothers that are representing for me and my camp. Any ideas?

The one wedding i was in, the groom got us gifts that pertained to the two of us groomsmen individually. I got a really nice Zippo because i collect zippo's, and the best man got a pocket watch, because he really likes pocket watches.

If I could go back, and the Tigers were this good then... I'd take them all to a ball game and go out drinking afterwards.

In my sister's wedding, I got really nice cufflings with my initials engraved. Very classy.

I like the idea of doing something individual for each of them. The youngest groomsman is 29...and everyone else is married. That kind of takes their need for a flask and throws it out the door. None of them dress up usually so the cufflinks seem like a waste. I would like to get them something that they can enjoy, but I never knew what most people gave as gifts for this occasion. I think I may have to do some serious searching to find the right gift...if I can decide on a good $$ amount to spend.

Since they are your groomsmen, i'm assuming you know them pretty well. There has to be something that means a lot to each of them.

I got cufflinks from my sisters wedding and so far I've worn them at my sisters wedding. My buddy gave us monogramed money clips + bottles of crown. The crown got used immediately and the money clip never

flasks + a small bottle of booze to fill it would be a perfect gift.

I like the alcohol suggestion...I just fear that since 2 of the 3 groomsman are married, it will be difficult to figure out what they would want. I kind of know what I can get them, but none of them are big drinkers anymore. We've all kind of slowed down and converted to beer over the last few years. Only one of them plays golf...so that makes it a little more difficult for those kinds of gifts. I may have to build a list and get each guy a couple of small things to make sure everyone is happy. Thanks for the suggestions. Keep adding any if you think of anything unique.

You have to do something that's unique for each person. I was recently in a wedding and got a money clip. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the gift, and it is a nice money clip.

But I never, ever carry cash...I haven't in the 13 years I've known my friend. He should know this. I would say maybe he was trying to persuade me into carrying cash, but he got the other two guys money clips as well.

I had seven guys in my wedding, and I had it all planned out in advance. I would take a nice picture with us all, and then another picture with each where it was just the two us. After the wedding, I got the pictures and framed two of them for each person - one group picture and one of me and him. I put them in a nice matte and a nice frame and sent them out. At the very least it's a thoughtful gift that's somewhat unique to each person.

I was actually the only groomsman that wasn't a medical doctor or a lawyer, so the other groomsmen will use them much more frequently than I will for their formal functions.

But yes, I have no use for them besides looking pretty and taking up space in my closet.

Scotch is always good. I never used to drink the stuff but as I get older I'm really starting to enjoy it. It's an aquired taste like beer and it really grows on you.

I'm getting married in October and am planning on getting them engraved pocket knives since they'd all like them.

None of us drink really so a flask would be pointless and none of us smoke so a Zippo wouldn't get much use, but most of us us keep a pocket knife on us daily.
