I've tried a few games that would be better with a pad than the keyboard but have never really looked into it. Thanks.....Matt

I own the Gravis Annihilator Aftershock and I love it. Best Gamepad I ever had, dual analog thumbthings and either 10 buttons or 2X9 with hotsets.
Pretty cool. Look into it, but make sure it works on XP because I have no experience with it. should be www.gravis.com or so.

I really like my Logitech Wingman Rumblepad. It reminds me of my Playstation controller so I feel real comfortable using this controller in racing games.

just heard from one of my friends that there's a playstation controller that you can hook up to yer computer via a usb converter.. rumble support and everything.. not sure about the validity, but he said he saw it at some store

*edit*

the playstation controller mentioned above is a regular ps1/ps2 controller - i was pointing out the converter ;]

how about someone who knows a good website (or even forum) that objectively reviews a lot of gamepads? I really have been researching, but haven't found enough information to make a good decision on which gamepad to buy.

Reviving this thread for more input.

I'm looking for a good PC gamepad to use with the upcoming Tony Hawk ProSkater 3. I have Tony Hawk 2 for the Dreamcast and the game is a blast partly because of the ease of the Dreamcast gamepad.

Anybody else have experiences with decent PC gamepads that work similar to a console gamepad in Windows XP?

How well do playstation gamepads with USB adapters work on PC's running XP? Anybody have experiences with this?

thanks.
