What's a good freeware ripper/encoder?

I used to have audiograbber, but I don't like the way you can only rip certain songs. Anyone?

I used to just restart the program a bunch of times until it allowed me to rip the song I wanted. Kind of a pain though.

thanks guys, the mp3's sound great. takes a while to encode, but oh well, I'll wait for quality.
