I can go to CNet's or MSN's bandwidth meter sites anytime, but I'd love to have an independent freeware program that would provide me with my current Dialup connection speed. We all know that when you hover your mouse over the little monitors in your system tray, the speed it says you're connected at isn't the true speed of your connection.
I've tried several so-called bandwidth meters so far, but none of them give me the information I'm looking for, they're mostly designed for networking and give me more information than I asked for, but none of what I really want; connection speed. All I want is an analysis of my connection speed, and a report thereof. Are there any simple little bandwidth meters out there that will give this info?
Thanks in advance, -kd5-
(...just so you know, I'm running 98se)
