Whats a good free office software package?

I've tried to download Easy Office 3.0 twice, but everytime I go to install it, it says its been corrupted and to obtain another copy of the program. I'm on dialup and don't have time for that crap. StarOffice isn't free any more, but theres this Open Office - has anyone heard anything about that?

We're using Open Office now... not bad... pretty stable, havent had it crash once yet... but kinda slow though...

never tried openoffice but i think it's the only decent free office suite out there.

I have used Open Office. Feels just like the MS applications. Definetly give it a try.

Extremely easy to use if you're accustomed to Micro$oft Office.

i think open office is the best one out there... i haven't tried any newer versions of software602.. but it reminded me of office 95.. that and it has a funky name

Open Office is worthy, the only gripe I have is that it's slow. It loads about 10 times slower than Office XP for me.
