Hey guys, i'm looking to buy a new laser printer and i need the following requirements:

1) It has full duplex included (NOT as an optional accessory)

2) It's relatively inexpensive

3) It's toner cartridge is readily available and is inexpensive (and possibility to refill?)

why do you need duplex built in as opposed to as an accessory. The Lexmark Optra R we have at work is at 30,000 pages, 90% of which are duplex on the optional duplex accessory.

also, what do you consider inexpensive?

Aren't optional duplex accessories usually expensive (i.e. in the 100-200 dollar range)? I just want a personal laser printer, i'd pay for something that costs less than $400...

Most sub $1000 laser printer has an optional Duplex unit. We use an Okidata duplex laser printer Okipage 24DX in our office. It's nice and fast.

Panasonic offers low cost duplex printing. I'm not sure about their quality though. I just bought a refurb Brother HL-1850 from PNcation.com for $249.00. That model cost $450.00 to $500.00.

That refurb brother actually looks like a good deal. How do you like the printer? Is the toner cheap?

HP 2200 has a built in duplexer that works well. My only complaint is the paper comes out somewhat curled, but fanning it in the opposite direction isn't that big a deal.
