the 8500 is an awesome card. i'm running one and i get over 10000 in 3dmark 2001se. apparently their hydravision software is good as well. the only problem with the card is that it is not dual-dvi. it has one dvi port and one for vga. they provide an adapter with the card that converts a dvi port to vga. i would definately reccomend it to you, especially when compared to a gf3.

If you want dual CRT outputs, I think there are companies that make DVI-CRT adaptors.

Look into a Radeon 8500 with a DVI-CRT adaptor, otherwise try to find a GF4 Ti4200 with dual CRT outputs. If you want dual head, ignore the GF3 - you can only use one of the outputs at a time on those cards.

Well CRT+DVI style cards get you ready for the future. Many of those, at least when bought retail box, include a DVI-VGA adapter to get the analog version of the 2nd head's signal onto a legacy 15-pin VGA connector. I'm using exactly that setup right now - on a 7500LE CRT+DVI+TV from PowerColor.

;) Yep, Rad8500 (and 8500LE) and GF4TI cards are your best bet. If you go Rad8500 then double check that it has dual display support, some offer the ports but can't do it as they only have 1 RAMDAC. GF4TI cards which sport more than 1 port (pretty much ALL of them sport 2/3) are capable of dual display, the GF4TI cards are much more standardised just like the Rad9000 cards are, but Rad9000pro aren't really GF3 perf though.

:D Rad8500 ($90ish) cards are great, just double check the abilities and clocks before you buy. GF4TI4200 ($130ish) are also great cards, esp when it comes ot AA, high quality Aniso and taking advantage of faster CPUs (Ath1.4ghz+ / P4 1.6ghz+). As said most cards come with CRT+DVI+TVout (or VIVO) and you simply have to use a DVI-to-CRT adapter which are cheap to buy if they aren't included (another thing to check).
