I'm going to try and buy a digi-cam this weekend. Are there any good ones out there for under 300 bucks? Also do all digi-cams come with usb connections or is that just a select few?

Would you prefer SM or CF media?

Yes, most digicams now-a-days come with USB unless they're old (pre-2000)

USB is standard on all current cameras.

here is a great deal on a nice Fuji
Link if you don't mind receiving a refurb.

Whichever you get... get one that saves on Compact Flash. Don't do Flash Memory or Memory stick.... ends up costing more buying enough "Film".

My last one and my current one is a Canon and I have nothing but good things to say about them!

Take a look at Steves Website for some good reviews.

Well, there's the ever-popular Canon A40, but it's not carried by officemax.com anymore, so the super-hot deals on it have pretty much dried up. It's hard to find it for less than the retail price of $250.

I did manage to get one for a friend last week for $215. PM me if you're interested in the details.

Stick with CF media cameras if you're on a tight budget as it is. Memory cards are a lot cheaper, as are memory card adapters for your PC (you'll want one, even if the cameras does usb).

I love my A40! :)
Too bad OM doesn't have those deals on it anymore. I got mine with a free 128MB CF card for right at $200. Best camera deal ever (thanks RossMAN ;) )
