What's a good data recovery software?

Can anyone recommend a data recovery software that shows the name of the lost file? I have used programs from Active@ with great success. I've been able to recover files from deleted partitions. My problem is the file names are lost and replaced with some gibberish. The file extension remains intact however. I'm still left figuring out which files is which.

I use Smart Undelete. Don't think it's free though. There is a # of system utilities that includes a software recovery feature. i.e. System Mechanic, Vcom Fix-It Utilities, etc.
