What's a good CPU diagnostic software?

I want to test my CPU under full load...but the only thing I've done so far is run a 3d game for a while and then check the CPU temp. through MBM 5....also, I'm running an Athlon XP 2200+ on a Asus A7V333 board. I've heard a lot about how the temp. readings from the board are somewhat innaccurate? Is this true? I'm running 50-52C idle right now. I guess that's good, but is the temperature actually a little bit lower? I think I'm doing ok with CPU temps but I'm kinda worried about my mobo/system temp...it's running about 42C...something tells me that that isn't good =).

Anyway, any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanx.
