I have a gigabyte GA-7vrx (not the xp), and when I try to overclock too far, my pci bus goes ppppptttttthhh.

There are some boards that will let you lock it at 33 and only affect the cpu bus. Anyone know where I can find this information, because its not a normal spec they put on boards.

Thanks.

Please PM me.

Are there ANY boards that will run an AMD chip with the lock, OR how about the 5/1 multiplier? Which boards have that?

Most Nforce 2 boards have an AGP and PCI lock, and most KT333 boards, and all KT400 boards have the correct AGP and PCI dividers for 166mhz (333mhz) FSB operation.

Cool. Is there a site I can find a list? My current board does NOT support it and I want to be able to push my processor now that I have a good cooler.

My board:Ga-7VRX

I would take a look at the Epox 8RDA+ Nforce2 motherboard. It's a very nice board with all the overclocking options and it can be found for ~$110. It has onboard LAN, 6 USB 2.0 ports, two Firewire ports, and 5.1 Dolby Digital sound.

A nice KT333 board would be the Epox 8K5A2+, but it really makes more sense to go Nforce2 right now.
