I'm lookin to get my brother a cd player for his truck and wanted to get one that will play MP3 burned CD's. Any suggestions, need to stay under $300.00.

Do you mean CD's with MP3's on them, or CD's that were burned from an MP3 source?

If you mean the former, the JVC and Kenwood models have been quite popular around here. If you mean the latter, pretty much any CD deck sold today will play burned CDs.

Sony Xplod (whatever model plays MP3s)...just had one installed for $299 at Circuit City a couple of months ago. A little slow in recognizing the disc (even on normal CDs) but plays great.

The JVC model (something "99") has 24bit Burr Brown DAC's, the best of any out there I believe....so it'll give you the best possible sound.
Make sure you use high quality MP3's to start with though 😀
