What's a good app for removing traces of uninstalled apps and unused/temp files from Windows?

I'm not interested in registry cleaners. I know that CCleaner does the job, are there other apps that remove traces of uninstalled apps and unused/temp files from Windows?

I don't mind paying for a high quality product. I like to keep my Win XP clean, your suggestions is appreciated. Thanks.

EDIT: I stick by my original answer of: get a bigger hard drive.

WTF? NO useful replies there. BTW I'm only using 30% of my hard drive space 😛

System Mechanic contains a "Software Uninstaller" but does not clean up AFTER an app has been removed. CleanSweep looks promising but I would NOT touch anything from notorious Norton.

So, why bother? Hard drive space is cheap.

Please enlighten me, where is the thread "on the first page" that shows an app that remove traces of uninstalled apps and unused/temp files from Windows?

I like to remove remnants of Microsoft Office and Photoshop. I'm NOT interested in spyware, adware or antivirus removal.

He may have his topics/page setting jacked up higher than you do malG. It may very well be on his first page. And please try to be a little more polite if you'd like to get help here, n0c is a very well regarded member of this forum.

ps - try a program called Crap Cleaner, sometimes called CCleaner. I use it at home myself.
