What's a good anti-virus that won't automatically delete my files?

Help! I'm trying to find a good anti-virus/internet security/all that stuff program that will give me full control of it and how it works. I DO NOT want it to automatically delete my files. I work in I.T. and have some questionable programs. I have them for security purposes and testing. Most anti-virus programs see them and delete them.

I have tried Norton 360 v2 and Internet Security 2009, but even though I have the option set to not automatically remove and to ask first, it's still deleting some of my stuff. This is unacceptable. Can someone suggest something that won't do this? I used to use Trend 2007 which worked fine. But I've never been a big fan of Trend and, besides, it's 2 years old now.

Any help/input/suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

I would think any A/V would have a decent exclusion list. I've had good luck with Antivir. My problem was when doing a scan, it would hit a suspect file, then stop. I then set it up to log only, and I review the logs at the end to check for real malware. That seems to work pretty well, and it has different options for what to do during routine operations. I have it set to prompt in case of a hit.

Never heard of them before. But looking into them, sounds like they have a good product. Not too keen on the price though. I hate how everyone changed the licensing to just 3 PC's. I have at least 4 that I would want to install it on. But, that's everyone anymore that does that.

I use the free version. It doesn't have POP3 scanning, and free version is missing some of the superfluous(imo) extras, but it works very well. You also get a popup when it updates, but it isn't that bad, and it can be disabled if you find it necessary. If you're using it in a business, you can't use the free version(according to the EULA). If I had to buy A/V, Antivir would still be my first choice.
