it's a mirror because it's the exact opposite of the original file. you need to d/l from 2 successive mirrors to get the file going in the right direction.

You are forgetting that file mirrors download the bits of a file in reverse order of the original source so its turn out in the correct order, thereby becoming an exact copy.
