Whats a fair price to sell a 9600XT?

My friend wants to sell his 9800XT to my dad to upgrade to a 6600GT or X700XT. I'm not sure what a fair price is though. It's a BBA, he's only been using it for a few months. What would a fair price be? Somewhere between $50 and $75? or are we way off?

Your thread title says 9600XT and your thread body says 9800XT. Which is it? If its a 9600XT, I'd say closer to 100. It its a 9800XT, it'd be better to keep it or buy a 6800/X800 card to replace it.

I would say you should sell the 9600xt card for about 100 bucks. Assuming that it is relatively new and of a good brand. If not then I would sell it for about 75 bucks.

I'd definitely replace a 9800XT with a 6800 GT or so right about now.

But why is your friend selling his card while there are no X700XT/6600GTs availabe? Shouldn't he wait a little?

I just sold a 9500 Pro for 100. They are pretty equal but mine was also pretty old, so I would say 100 or a little more.
