what's a fair price to ask for a 8gb 3G iphone?

i'm looking to upgrade my 'in great condition' 8gb 3G to a new 3G-S but I'm conflicted on what a fair price is. I see people selling them from $200+ and I'm wondering why since a new 3G only costs $99.
