What's a decent soundcard upgrade from a Santa Cruz?

I have had my Santa Cruz for a LONG time now...since it came out I think. Does OK but I am sure things have come a long way as these regularly get blown out for $10 or so.

Thanks

I haven't heard a Turtle Beach card being mentioned among the top choices in sound cards for a long time. The last review I read on one said it was srtictly the engineering example design from the chipset mfr. even leaving off some features that others had implemented. After that I've not looked at an T-B card again. There are some new companies out there trying to elbow in on Creative's territory. Check 'em out!

. Even integrated sound is pretty decent these days unless you really need some special features.

What are you hoping to gain with a new sound card?

It's a turtle beach. I have Altec Lansing ADA885 THX. I use it most for music...the only game I play is WoW sometimes. If I don't need to upgrade I am ok with that too...just been seeing quite a few of these up for sale lately.
