Wheel isn't too much better for a gas and steer arcade racer like NFSU2 ;)
But if you insist, justdeals.com has a lot of logitech racing wheels going for $10 or so on ebay.

I agree with virtualgames0. For NFSU2, I'd just get a decent gamepad. (such as PS1/PS2 controller + converter)

I found a sahweet Logitech setup for 60 or 70 bucks. I could linkify you if you're willing to spend more than you planned originally.

Planning on getting this one soon. Logitech MOMO. $75 ($25 below everyone else I've seen) and free shipping. Will take a couple of extra days to get to you, but so what? You'll save over $30 from buying it somewhere else or local with tax.

EDIT: Forgot to add that it is not under $50 like you requested, but who cares? I checked out the demo unit at my local Best Buy the other night, and the pedals are unreal. The brake and gas are spot on, and fell just like they should, different from each other. Very well emulated.

I agree with (well, someone up there) - the more arcade the game is, the better the results from just using a game pad instead of a wheel (plus dual-analogue gamepads are the greatest for FPS, sports, and nearly evry other non-racing game).

I've never used a force-feedback wheel that I didn't hate, so I'd probably look for a bottom-of-the-heap logitech wheel or something with no FF.

What is your problem with FF wheels? What made you not like em, because for years I felt regret that I purchased this MS Wheel with NO FF and felt stupid for not paying a little more for the FF.

I saw that same exact wheel here: http://store.yahoo.com/justdeals/lomorawhandf.html for $47 (- a $5 coupon) with free shipping. Only drawback is that it's refurbished.

My problem is probably a matter of poor implementation in games; basically the wheels seem to 'feedback' in the wrong direction, at the wrong time. I've driven cars enough to know what understeer feels like, and I find it isn't implemented very well in games.

I've also A/B'd a couple of FF/non-FF versions of essentially the same wheel, and I find the motor for the FF makes those wheels much less smooth acting (I can usually feel the 'click' of the FF gears even when the FF isn't active).

I've used some FF setups in arcades that were actually quite good, but so far I haven't met a 'for-home' FF wheel that does it for me.
