I'm running an 2600xp-m w/ 1 gig of OCZ Premier (their basic stuff) pc3200. on a DFI Infinity Ultra

so far I've had it set at 207 x 11.5 with the vcore @ 1.6 and the ram voltage @ 2.6 using the default timings of 2.5-3-3-7. Stable for the past 2 months.

I would like to get to 2500 (208x12), but so far even upping the fsb to 208 x11.5 has caused problems. I've tried increasing the voltage to 2.7 and increasing the cpu voltage as high as 1.65...but still haven't been able to have the system operate @ 208fsb.

Could it be that 207 is all this ram can take?

I have OCZ Premier at 217x11.5 right now. I think I've had it as high as 220. You probably want to try high voltage for the CPU... Hitting 2.5Ghz usually requires 1.75V or more.

Thanks for the input...I'll try upping the chip voltage more at the same time and look over the overclocking thread

I didn't want to run 200x12.5, as I was under the impression that higher fsb speed + high cpu speed is better performing than lower fsb speed with equal cpu speed...correct?

the difference between 200 fsb and 208fsb is practically negligable. You wont see a difference, maybe 1fps in doom3 or farcry. The difference between 200fsb and 220+fsb is more noticeable.

good luck on your oc!
