Whats a benchmarking program to check for memory errors?

I just recently purchased a 2nd stick of 512mb corsair ram to bring my system to a gig, but I have been experiancing errors in games, installing applications, etc. And I dont know if they are due to my new stick of RAM having something wrong with it or a recently terrible system crash I had.

So can someone recommend something I can run to make sure my RAM is fine?
