This is the latest news on Wiki of him.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_P._Fay
Later in 1994, Fay suffered burns to his hands and face after a butane incident.[24][25][26] He was subsequently admitted to the Hazelden rehabilitation program for butane abuse.[24] He claimed that sniffing butane "made him forget what happened in Singapore."[27] In 1996, he was cited in Florida for a number of violations, including careless driving, reckless driving, not reporting a crash and having an open bottle of alcohol in a car.[28] Later, in 1998, still in Florida, Fay was arrested for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, charges to which he confessed but was not found guilty[29] because of technical errors in his arrest.[30]

I don't remember this....
Interesting read I suppose. Doesn't sound like he has been doing much with his life.

If it weren't for American intervention.. those two extra cane whoppings would have made him a better man.

He sounds like a piece of shit.

Hit with a cane for times? Doesn't really sound like the end of the world. Blaming your drug use on that? What a joke.

And here my first thought was that he stopped being a punk...guess I was wrong. (nobody tell SagaLore)

Sounds like he grew up to be trash. Lovely. Maybe Singapore would like him back?

Like a "scared straight" program, except we send those kids to Singapore instead.

I just never understood what the big deal was. I've had like a dozen fillings, a root canal, 4 wisdom teeth out, a twice dislocated shoulder with subsequent surgery to repair the torn labrum, badly sprained ankles that swelled to the size of a softball, and I've given blood like 20 times. How much could this possibly hurt? I'd probably take 4 swats for $1,000.

4 swats by one of your drunk buddies is different than 4 swats from someone trained to make it hurt as much as possible.

A Singaporean judicial caning is more like an old-school flogging with a cat-o-nine tails. There's a video on liveleak or some such place of a similar caning in Malaysia, it looks astonishingly painful. The whole thing about having to use drugs to deal with what happened is of course a pathetic excuse, but I'm sure it wasn't fun either.

If it's to the point where they're ripping flesh out, yeah, I would say that's pretty unpleasent. Maybe I'll just have to watch the LL video. :hmm:

He achieved fame with a rocking remake of You Can't Sit Down, then claimed to have coined butthurt.

In an probing interview in Bottoms Up magazine, he said he was strongly motivated to make up for lost time after . . . getting a little behind. :awe:
