At the moment i am doing some reading on neural networks and how to use some programming techniques for my future robotics. A neuron really is an amazing feature. The neuron and it's connections form the processing element and the memory at the same time. The data in the memory is recalled by using a technique called content addressing memory.

This really does not immediately apply to the function of the memristors in neural nets but it is an interesting read. Because if i understand the article correct, the memristors are used as the connections. When the connection is strong it means it has a lot of influence on the result. And the result is the firing of the neuron.

Recently i came across an article where memristors where used to copy certain functions of neurons.

And a documentary about people with brain damage that results in the most strange effects.
Like a person who think he is non stop connected with the rest of the world. Giving him some sort of euphoria like he is god. Another can no longer connect to his parents. Another can see but not on a conscious level.
