Whatever happened to FCC Regulation that all channels go digital in march 2005?

Was this pushed back? What is the new date? The only reason I am concerned is I hate switching from dolby digital to analog sound when I switch from diigtal to sattelite channels (as if Directv channel switching wasn't long enough!).

there is no clear date as of right now. I would link to the FCC website, but it can be found if you google it.

It's December 31, 2006 now, but that will probably change.

The Telecom Act specified it, but the FCC interprets and implements, so they can basically delay it
