I'm still breathing a sigh of relief.

I was SURE that a bunch of pop stars were going to get together and write some sappy we are the world-type song about that stupid kid.

We got off easy.

And for all those who wanted to keep him here, most of them of Cuban descent, because they love this country so much, I say this:

SHOW me how much you love this country. Become US citizens. Maybe even (gasp) learn English.

I say this not as a racist, but as a Miami native who has seen too many people come to Miami just to create mini-replicas of their old hometown, minus the cigar-chomping dude with the beard.

 

Probably working slave labor in a sugar cane field, or a tobacco plantation.
