Whatever happened to Amazon's PC Game Deals?

There was a time when Amazon gave Steam a run for their money with some of their PC Digital game deals, especially when it came to bundles. They also have previously stated they wanted to be a player in the PC Digital market. Can't remember the last time they had a store-wide sale akin to Steam's Summer Sale, and I certainly haven't bought anything from them in a while.

edit: My Digital Order history shows my last PC game purchase from them was XCom: Enemy Within back on January 1, 2014. Gah!

Tony (the guy who coordinated the deals and communicated on a bunch of different forums) got promoted to a different department. A new guy named Josh took over. He sucked, and the deals just died off.

They had a sale at the same time GoG and Gamersgate was having a sale. It was earlier this month I believe.

It had a few decent deals but nothing mind blowing. About the same as Steam.

This.

I think some of that may have been the members at Cheapassgamer.com being dickheads and bitching about everything he ever posted. I'd get tired of their shit too.

"Waaaa why buy it from Amazon when it's only 50% cheaper than Steam"
"Waaaa I bought the game and didn't think it was going on sale cheaper even though you said it would"
"Waaaa my mom beats me for biting her nipples and making them bleed"

No different than any other forum, but I'd have bailed too if I was that dude.
