Whatever happen to ''global warming''?

It's now renamed climate change, so if it goes up, or down, or goes up or down faster or slower than before, they can say "see, we were right."
 
we need global warming in the winter and global cooling in the summer.

Preferrably central.

edit: screw the southern hemisphere.

Unless you fell into a time machine and went back 100 years to Now, then you're expectations of 10' are greatly misplaced. Even then that's just 1 number from a range, so no one is predicting that particular amount in a set period of time.

Still happening, still not being properly addressed.
 
Here is my canned Global Warming response:

When I was in school, I learned about the impending Ice Age (no, not the movie). My kids will/are learn/ing about the impending Global Warming. I guess my grandkids will learn about the impending Ice Age again.

Reminds me of the line from 1984: "We are at war with Oceana, we have always been at war with Oceana." Except, that we have not always been at war with Oceana, and we have not and will not always be at risk of Global Warming. Wait a few years and we can all fear an Ice Age again.

I do agree that the climate could be shifting. I am just not so sure humans have a lot, if anything, to do with it.

Our "Philosophy" professor expects us to turn a 250 word article into a 3000 word essay by using "technical" and "scientifically advanced" terms while making sure the general population at hand understands the topic at hand. :thumbsdown:

More annoyingly, the class is far from being about science and society to more about the fucking history of astronomy.

This guy is nuts...

Whatever happened to "evolution"?

There is an abundance of evidence available to answer your question. It's not the fault of the scientific community that you can't be bothered to look into it enough.
