Whatever hapened with the Irish Face Transplant?

Well of course, but consider that much of the distinctive character of a face is bone structure.

The ethical debate is bunk. It's unfortunate social pyschology, put yourslef in the place of a sixteen year old girl with a horribly disfigured face or the young 20-something star of those texas (?) drunk driving adds.

What's better?

This is serious, and I think it's a good idea. If your face is horribly disfigured, something other than taking skin of your butt and just slapping it on your face should be available.

You mean you never saw that simpsons episode? *gasp*

Long story short, homer gets a hair transplant from snake (they electrocute him, cut his scalp off and sew it on homer's head). Unfortunately, the scalp isn't dead and takes over Homer's mind. Homer then goes on to kill everyone who helped get snake electrocuted, except, of course, Bart.

It sounds like a wrestling move. 🙂

I think it'd be a good idea. I'd like to see pictures of the transplanted face both before and after if they ever get the surgery underway.
