I disagree. Either way will result in pain and suffering for families and you. If you save the drowning man, he'll end up killing his victim. A mother has lost a child and you deal with the fact that by rescuing him, you cost someone else their life. On the other side, by not saving him, a mother still loses a child and you have to live with the fact of knowing you did not help that man live when you could have. Lose-lose situation if you ask me.
