I see a major problem with it already...

You haven't given it to me yet!
So just slide it under my door and we'll call it even.

10 posts and already showing off. :p

Joking aside, that's a great system. Have fun!

BTW, what brand is the PSU? Wouldn't trust that rig to just any old brand.

Ah, I see.

Good choices all around, but how much did you pay for such a beast? Also, where are you getting it from?

Yeah, I'd go with 2x512MB or 2x1GB. 3 sticks is just not gonna work right for you. And I'd have gone with a wide aspect high res. LCD also.

The rest looks really good.

What do you guys mean?

Just make sure that whoever is building this rig for you is guaranteeing it will work when you receive it...

What he said. I thought it was a typo. Maybe you meant 1024MB?

WRONG!!!

Dual Channel means that if you have matched pairs, you will see an improvement in performance. You can absolutely run with 3 DIMMs. It's not something that is recommended because you will not see the performance boost of Dual Channel, but it can definitely be done.

Recommendation - go w/ 2 1GB DIMMs, preferably Corsair or Crucial.

Athlon 939's memory controller WILL NOT tolerate 3 DIMMs.

Quote from DFI NF4 Ultra manual.

Q: Why will the board fail to boot when 3 Dimms re used?

A: The integrated memory controller in AMD's 64-bit socket 939 series CPU supports dula channel however the controller is not capable of accurately distinguishing detween dual and single channels resulting to boot up problem. If you have luckily booted the system, the total memory size detected is from 2 Dimms only, not 3. Therefore we do not suggest using 3 Dimms.

Going to be the same for all S939 boards.

As for 1GB modules, Patriots are good.
