Wow. If the warranties still cover the parts for a good bit of time, get it before he changes his mind (A PC with those parts usually sells for $1100, last time I checked)

lol. If my money cleared no i would have called him up but i will have to wait.

Wow, my niece spent almost $1000 for her 13 year old son on a similar system last week. 😉
Grab it before seller changes their mind, it's a good price. Should be good for the next 3-4 years IMO.

@scorpio I will as soon as my money clears it currently pending with 3-4 days deposit time. And wow that 13yr old is lucky.

Reward for getting high grades/honors class. He actually build/assembled the system himself with my step by step instructions as I watched. Told him to take his time which took 2 hours. Actually was taking a video at 1080p, but battery died so I had to wait and charge. Niece actually paid only $85 (Producer level) for the i7 3770K via the Intel Retail Edge, so that was a huge saving. Plus her employee discounts for the other parts. Gave him my 8 year old Dell UltraSharp 2405FPW. 😉

Next step would be a SSD for the boot drive, more fans and perhaps a 27" Yamakasi/Catleap or even another GTX 660 for SLI (or upgrade to GTX 770). No plans of overclocking, so no watercooling.

Whether the warranty is transferable depends on Microcenter's policy and/or the manufacturer's policy. I don't know if you will be eligible for the warranty or not

The fine print on most manufacturer warranties state that they're only valid for the original owner. Some GPU manufacturers have transferable warranties, but that's about it. Event the Intel warranty only applies to the original owner.

$85 wow. That's one lucky kid but if he is excelling in school, why not? I was going to get the ps4 but after seeing the level of quality in graphics pc's offer I'd rather spend that on a card or something. I will eventually get one but not now.

Hey bud did you ever get the deal? Any monitors you bought?

Chase has to post the money in my account because the transfer from paypal is complete, so without them doing that I can't do anything. As soon as its done I'll contact the guy, if its sold by then "oh well" but still would be saddened.

Best of luck getting it, bud

if you need another monitor, which I believe you mentioned the pack didn't come with the monitor, wrote up a few more reviews for ya: Asus VS247H-P and Dell S2340M
Hope you enjoy them. 😎

Well he sold so I guess I'm just going to have to follow one of those thousand dollar builds soon.

Damn. You should create a thread and ask people for help, but don't overdo it and ask to completely build you one.
Don't worry about spending $1k, it'll last longer anyway.

Yea Im going to set up a new thread with a build and start ordering parts right away but it will probably be finished around the time I can get good deals.
