what year of mustang had forged internals?

was it 87-91? my friend is looking at a 92 5.0 LX but i can't remember what year they put in those crappy hyperteutectic pistons(i know they were in the 93's) if anyone can inform me i'd appreciate it

I know the 4.6's all have forged internals, dunno what year they put them into the 302

and unless you are an idiot and don't keep your car in good tune when you have a super charger those pistons will be fine
hence the reason they've been using them since 93 without any problems

to be more clear... for 87-93 fox bodies just 93.... and they've been using them since 93...

Oh 86-92 had forged pistons, and like Ladies Man said, 93 (I thought 93+) had the hyperteutic pistons

they switched to hyperreutetic in 93. Get the 92. 92 is my favorite year, and they didn't make many 5.0s that year.
