what would you think about a university that gave credit to God...

It's a self-congratulatory expression that really means "We are so damn stupendously wonderful that only a god could have produced such as we." Typical university self aggrandizement. BTW, did all you alums remember to send us money?

Well if it's a private school, then who gives a crap? They can do what they want and as long as they are providing a decent education to their students, I would not think any more or less of the place.

Then the question would be, which god are you referring to? saying that god is a general term will not suffice coz for the most part it refers to Jesus... so... we are back to square one. "God" is banned.

Lets say Ivy League

Ivy Leagues are the most liberal, minority ass kissing organizations ever created by humans. They have seats reserved for minority and diversity. Praying to god would be like fishes flying.

So that would never happen?

Colleges...no idea. My sister went to a "Christian" college in AL but I don't know if it was public or private.

Public schooling? No.

What was the name of it? I can't think of any religious public schools here.

I would think they are incorrect. God probably wasn't responsible for any of the things they give him credit for. The professors, students, and results are all the work of people.

As for being acceptable...I have no problem with it. So long as no one is trying to make anyone else do anything religious, then it's just words. Foolish words, but if everyone agrees they should remain, then so be it.
