What would you say is the best ultra-compact digital camera?

I was looking at the SD500 because it's on sale at future shop on boxing day, but after reading a couple of reviews I'm not sure that it's the best investment I can make.

Do you guys have any other recomendations?

besides canon, i think casio is known for there good ultracompacts. check out DPreview.com for very in-depth reviews,

The Sony DSC-P200 is a fantastic camera, it was a tossup between that and the Canon A95 when I was looking, and since size wasn't my biggest concern I went with the Canon. But the Sony would be my pick if I needed a smaller more compact camera.

i'm very happy with my sd300, my step sister's sd200 is pretty fine as well. the higher end models are just as good.
