I am going to get a TV that will go into our entrance area at our school. On the TV we will play some video, pictures (virtually a slideshow) to play continuously throughout the day to show the different activities that are going on around the school. I am trying to figure out what would be the best scenario to try to do this. I am looking for the easiest way but still a way that would be something that would give us some future options. Does anyone have any suggestions or where I could go to find any info on such a thing. Thanks.

err, a display + a computer somewhere? encase the tv of course, and have active cooling.

you could just use the secretary's computer and setup dual display. loop whatever video you want to loop.

There are a number of flat screen TVs with USB ports that will allow you to simply plug in a thumb drive and play slide shows of pictures. I don't know about moving video. This might be an easy way to go. Obviously, securely enclosing the TV becomes an issue with an easily removable thumb drive (not to mention all the other things that can happen to the set).
