Asus P3B-F (Intel 440BX mobo)

Iwill Slocket II

Celeron 2 533@920

Stock heatsink fan

2) 128Mb sticks of PNY (Hyundai chips) PC100 from a batch that did 142 CAS 2 (256mb total)

I had this combo running for a while, and recently upgraded. I let my bud try the CPU in his Abit 815 mobo, and we got it just under a gig (992, 8x124). I always ran it at 896 (8x112) to be safe, but it would do 920 (8x115) quite stable. The memory I've ran as high as 124mhz CAS 2-2-2 w/ a slot 1 PIII on this same Asus mobo.

This combo will post at 996, and I'm willing to bet that, on a different mobo, this CPU will double overclock w/ some radical (water, peltier) cooling.

Even though I'd prefer to sell it all together. I wouldn't mind if you gave individual prices at all.

Please don't tell me to search. I'm asking for people's opinion on what they'd pay, before I decide if I want to sell it here, or not.

Thank you. :)

EDIT Would throw in a Promise Ultra 66 controller too to sweeten the deal :) EDIT

well memory is dirt cheap... and so are the superior durons... so for an inferior celery chip (although it did overclock very nicely) and an antiquated but tried and true motherboard... well let's do some math buying everything new:

Celeron 533: $42.99
Asus P3B-F: $103.95
128MB PNY PC100: $29.00

Its used, old, but works. I'm cheap anyway so I'd probably offer you $100 simply because I could purchase a new faster duron for less than the price of that old celeron.

Original value...
Asus P3B-F $90
Celeron FC-PGA 533 $45, and I give you $10 for the overclockability
Stock HSF $10
128MB of PC100@142MHz CAS2 $25
~$180

Since they're used, I'd say $120 for all those.

I'd say around $120, mabey $150 if you're lucky. You might get more for that overclock.

You would have to pay me to take that controller card......HEHEHE

Presuming that Combo is stable, I would buy it for 125 + Shipping (with the 256 RAM + Promise IDe 66)

OH I forgot to mention, if your gonna sell it, you mine as well sell it fast. That setup will depreciate even more....

I can already buy a combo with a 750Mhz T-bird that out performs it for 102 bucks. Get a stick of ram for 20 bucks (256) and then I come to 122 bucks......

The combos are only gonna get cheaper and faster..... So if your gonna dump it, then dump it soon. Otherwise you wont get more than 50 bucks for it.

I'd keep it then. :)

You're right though. Soon as I find it all (think my friend has the heatsink/fan) it's going up. ;)

Thanks.
