What would you install? Java 6 or Java 7?

I am confused 🙁 Both seem to be getting regular updates but with Java 7 it doesn't install the browser add on for Firefox only v6 does. Not that I am a software developer or anything, but just wondering

I use v7, works with Firefox for me. You can try the switch "/s ADDLOCAL=jrecore IEXPLORER=1 MOZILLA=1" (without the quotes) to install silently.

Where do I paste that code?

I installed Java 7 again (both 32 bit and 64 bit), then I copy / pasted the code above (without the quotes) both into my browser URL and in DOS but both gave me an error

Help please

You use that code when you install java. Start > Run > Browse to the executable, then in the "open" box add the switch at the end of the command line and hit OK.
