What would you get? 19 inch CRT or 15 inch LCD

save up about 50 more bucks, then look for a deal, 17 inch LCD's with 16ms refresh rate are coming down in price very nicely

If it's a very good 15" compared to an average 19", I'd take the 15. Good LCDs tend to be easier on the eyes (for most people.) And they create a lot of extra space on your desk, not to mention look much cooler.

If the 19" CRT can do 1280x960@85Hz or 1600x1200@75Hz, then I'd take the CRT over 15" LCD any day. However, if it's crappy 19" CRT versus acceptable 15" LCD, then I'd take the LCD, especially if space was a concern.

CRT all the way. I have a 15" LCD kicking around..just upgraded to a 17" LCD, which is still about an inch smaller than a good 19" CRT. There's no going back to 1024x768...1280x1024 or above is much, much better.

Get a true flat CRT, though..

CRT over LCD, and even better if you have the space...take the advice a bove & get the 21" CRT.
