What would you do if you were in love with this girl you knew, but you and her were both goin out with other people? You think that she feels the same way, but you don't know for sure. It's just that the relationship you are in now feels empty and is only based on physical attraction (no sex).

I am tired of seeing my friend anguish over this situation. I want to give him good advice, but I just don't know what to say. What would you do?

If your friend's relationship feels empty, then he needs to reassess things. To string it along simply for forms sake will only end up hurting them both in the long run.

As for the girl he likes and her relationship, there's not much he can do about it unless she breaks up with her current boyfriend.
