What would you do?

Through forces outside my control, I've got a spare P5W DH Deluxe and a E6600. I've already got a good setup with Core2, but figured I might as well make some use out of these parts. What else would you put with these to get the best bang for your buck? I don't want to totally get cheap-cheap with the rest of the components, since these are quality parts already, but I'm not looking to drop another $800 bucks to finish out a second system. So what would you do?

Heck, give those extra parts to me!

You can always set up some really basic systems using cheap mobo's like the ASRock 775Dual-VSTA. You can use ddr or ddr2 and AGP or PCI-E which makes for really cheap systems that still run pretty darn good.
😉

I'd like it to be decent enough to at least be able to play new games that come out. What exactly would a multimedia pc be designed for, just watching movies, or...?

Watching movies, music, tivo... That's probably what I'd do with it. That's really why that mb was developed. You could do multimedia, and also make it a file server over the built in wireless. That way your files would be on 2 boxes so you'd have a backup in case of disaster.

Well, I'm definitely using the Asus P5W DH and the e6600- I can't afford to waste another motherboard and the e6600 is a week 27 that works just fine. Can anyone else vouch for the super talent ddr-667, or suggest another good reasonably priced gig of RAM to pair with? The $300 for the x1950 is a bit much. How does it compare the an x1900 xtx, which is what I'm currently running in my main rig? Does it have a good TV in/out etc?
