I go to a friends house maybe once a month, sometimes less than that. We just play pc games or watch movies most of the time.

usually we eat frozen pizza for lunch and then for dinner, we order from somewhere (chinese, taco bell, etc). he always pasy for everything.

anyway, my question is this: Should I pay for the food sometimes or pay my portion? I did offer to pay for it one time and he said not to worry. He's never said anything about it but I kind of feel bad that he pays all the time.

He feels like as a host, he should pay for the food - maybe it's just the way he was brought up.

Next time, just bring the frozen pizza over yourself, or a 12 of beer to share.

Yeah, just drop in with some food and beer or soda.

As others have said, he's being a good host, but it's your job to be a good guest. Bring drinks, or snacks, or otherwise contribute in some way.
