ok 1st I don't know what forum to put this in due to traffic and I would like to decide an answer before 4pm today.

I currently have an 800MHz Duron with 384MB of RAM, it has been locking up on my constantly, I use my computer as an alarm clock to get up each morning. last 3 mornings it's froze over night on me and just freezes constantly through the day, a format might help but reguardless it's time to upgrade.

so far I have these in my shopping cart...

the 2.8C is on sale for $183 until 4pm today. my question is should I buy it before 4pm. or wait for the 2.8e chips (I have no clue how long until they are released if someone knows a release date that would help.) if I don't get it while it's on sale and the 2.8e isn't released for another month i'm stuck with my gimp of a current computer.

so my question is. buy now while the processor is on sale, or wait for the 2.8e chip....

I'd like the 2.8e but if it's not released for a month I don't want to be stuck waiting.

what would I do? I'd get a Soltek NForce2 mobo from NCIX, and a Barton 2500 CPU, save yourself like $100 and have just as good of a system.
I'd also pass on the Mushkin and get some other slightly cheaper brand (Kingston Hyper-X perhaps)

that's just me though :D

i would do something similar, as well. Especially using cheaper RAM.
