I'm at my witt's end.

I purchased some Sega Saturn games from eBay(http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=27246&item=3050197232) and sent a money order to the person i won them from. He sent me the one email telling me where to send the money, but never any more. at this point it's obvious that he ripped me off, but eBay and SquareTrade both sent me emails saying he wasn't responding to their email, and there's nothing else they can do.

I sent away for a stop payment on the 7th of Nov. but this guy was allowed to cash the MO on the 13th of Nov. I called Western Union to see why that happened and they told me that it takes awhile for the stop payment to be processed. So they sent me a photo copy of the cashed MO. I filed a complaint at the Internet Fraud Complaint Center from fbi.gov, but there's a portion on there saying "do not include money orders or wire transfers" so i have a feeling they won't help me either.

From the personal information i got from eBay i found the guy's phone number, but he doesn't answer when i call. I know it's not a dead line because it's been busy a few times. He lives in St. Charles MO, and i live all the way in Arizona so there's no chance of a personal visit.

What would you do?

email him letting him know you'll sick atot on him unless he follows through. email this thread.

give him like.. a day.. then post ALL his personal info

it was only $89(including the shipping) but that's money i could really use right now, being the holidays and all.

personally, $89 is a lot of money. Maybe find someone on here thats around the same area to call him. He might have caller ID and be avoiding your calls 🙂

bitch and whine and give up. setup autodialer on computer to dial his house every 3 minutes. subscribe him to every spam list known to man. etc etc etc.

I'd help, seeing I normally live like 10 minutes from St. Charles, but I'm in school at Boston right now. Sorry 🙁 Keep asking around, I know there are a few more St. Louisians around on these boards who could help you...

hmm, unless i am mistaken, they picked up. I wasnt sure what to say since i was working on homework and didnt expect anyone to pick up so i asked for "Tom Ballsack".

the email is jniebrzydoski2000@yahoo.com

there may also be a Tom P Couller living there. the information eBay gave me was Tom from St. Louis.

I think Tom is his father though. when i was looking around at online phone books i found a 50something year old man named Tom and a 20something named Jason at the same address.

Thanks guys 🙂

What happens when you call?

the phone just rings for about 2 minutes and then says that the party is not answering my call. i thought the line was dead for the longest time, until today when i called and it was busy.

i guess he has caller ID and doesn't answer when i call.

I say you post his telephone number on here, so we can all harass him until he gives you the games 🙂

I have free long distance and minutes, sounds like a plan....

😀

Do exactly what I say ;

Call his local police department, tell them you want to file a complaint against him, copy and save all the relative documents, be polite and courtious to the police.

thanks, i wasn't sure if that would help or not, but if it will then that's great. i have the only email he sent me, along with the photocopied money order, i'll make sure i keep tabs on it all.

it's probably too late to call the PD over there now, so i'll give it a try tomorrow.

Doesn't Ebay have some sort of protection against this?? If not, why in the hell are they charging so much money to post on their website? EBAY SUCKS!!!

I wouldn't have dealt with this seller, as he has had 2 negative feedbacks before he dealt with you. I dont deal with people that have any negative feedback, unless they have a very lage positive feedback rating. It looks like he has made a few more friends after he ripped you off. 🙁

they do actually. if i hadn't paid with a money order they would chage me $25 but reimburse me up to $200. but unfortunately the only thing he was accepting was a money order. They also have a mediating service(SquareTrade) which costs $20 to use, but that's useless if the person is ripping you off because they aren't gonna respond to the SquareTrade email. This guy has like 6 negative feedbacks now(out of 15) so he's obviously not interested in clearing up the matter.
