What would you do?

I have an 8 port switch and a 4 port + 1 wan port belkin router.

My setup is this atm >

Cable modem > Server via USB (Server running NAT through R&Raccess (No ICS)...)
Server > 8 port switch > switch splits to other 3 computers.

Now, i heard that modems tend to use less resources connecting through ethernet as opposed to usb...

Would you recommend keeping everything the way it is setup now, or chuck the switch out the way and save it for lan partys etc, and configure the router and have the cable modem going into the router via ethernet...

Im just curious what you guys would do 🙂

Cheers,
Dan
