What would you do?

Bought something on another forum.

#1: Paid by paypal on the June 1st and person said it will ship on Monday. I tell him its important to have it here before the weekend because I'm going out of state on buisness for a week and nobody will be here. No problem

#2: Monday. Small problem. Person was too busy, will get in the mail on Tuesday "have my word on it" "No biggy but make sure I have it by the weekend due to my buisness trip." No problem

#3: Tuesday. Small problem. Person didn't get it shipped but will ship Fedex Wednesday and I will have it Thursday or Friday. Fedex is a problem. Nobody here to sign for it and its a 40 minute roundtrip drive to go pick it up. Person says he will wave signature conf. Problem is that it will might get stolen from the front of my house. After a small "discussion" I tell him to send it Fedex and I will drive and pick it up if I have to. "Just make sure I get it before the wee...." Well you know. Getting to be a problem now.

#4: Today. Problem. " I got it shipped out but I got confused and put the wrong name on it" ??!!! WTF? Will Fedex even let me pick it up if my name is not on the parcel? Another problem. He shipped it Fedex Saver Pac. A three day service. Estimated time of delivery. MONDAY THE NINTH!!!. I haven't even heard back from him to see what name is on it.

Questions are: Will Fedex let me pick it up without the proper name being on the box?
Since he lives close (actually only about 3-4 hours away) will Fedex deliver early?
Should I track him down and drag him into the street kicking him like a dog?

I mean, com'on.... Delay after delay.. that doesn't sound like a honest trader to me... and he even put down the wrong name.. WTF?

classic signs of either a troll or a big loser
if he is a troll, he hasn't sent squat so you don't need to worry about fedex, there is no package

if he is a big loser, you will get your package on or after the ninth, just pray it isn't broken or something wrong with it

Actually I have a good tracking # so it has been shipped. I actually think he has just got into too many deals and got over his head. Just hope I get it before I leave. Its up to Fedex I guess.

oh, also, if you are that close, you are probably within the same hub area, so even if he sent it cheapo rate, i think you can expect to get it within 1-2 days, hopefully

You might try asking FedEx to hold the package and not attempt delivery. Then you could pick it up after you return.

Thats kinda what I'm hoping for. I did a search on Fedex on the forum and it seems about 50:50 people getting packages early or actually having them held on purpose due to the cheaper shipping option

You might try asking FedEx to hold the package and not attempt delivery. Then you could pick it up after you return.

Thats another good option if its not here by Friday night.
